Andrew first visited our showroom to purchase a piano lamp. During his visit we showed him round our workshops showing him the beautiful examples of restoration, the workshops, the craftsmanship, passion, dedication.
The lamp arrived and Andrew returned to collect it; each time we discussed his Baby Grand – a Collard & Collard from early 1900s in a rosewood case. A tuner had tried to tune it and was returning with a quote for works. We discussed the difference between what a tuner could do and what 1066 could do and Andrew was very interested.
Their many visits to the workshop whilst the restoration progressed were enthusiastically enjoyed as the process unfolded. The finished piano came out looking beautiful. There was a custom designed plaque put in the piano that Andrew chose to give it an extra special touch.
